Insight Global is forming a new developer marketing function and is seeking a versatile Content Writer & Editor to create and refine technical marketing content for software engineers and technical buyers. The role involves writing and editing various types of content, including announcements and blog posts, while ensuring clarity and alignment with developer needs and the product roadmap.

Responsibilities

Write channel‑appropriate content: launch/feature announcements, product and API blogs, PR copy, and bylines/technical articles for third‑party publications
Edit and coach Developer Advocates to sharpen structure, clarity, and developer value; enforce editorial standards and consistency
Translate complex concepts (APIs, SDKs, webhooks, auth flows, integrations) into accessible narratives for developers and technical decision makers (no coding required, but strong technical fluency expected)
Partner with DevRel, Product Marketing, and Docs to source topics, validate accuracy, and align with release timing
Build and maintain an editorial calendar tied to developer journeys (learn → build → launch), optimizing for search/AEO discoverability alongside SEO counterparts
Establish tone/voice, headline frameworks, and review checklists; manage revisions through to publish
Measure performance (traffic quality, time on page, doc/portal click‑throughs, conversions) and iterate content based on insights

Required

Proven experience writing developer-relevant content across blogs, PR, and third-party bylines; samples must demonstrate clarity, accuracy, and audience fit. (Portfolio required.)
Ability to quickly absorb technical context and interview SMEs to produce precise, credible copy without needing to code
Editorial craftsmanship: line editing, structural edits, and developmental feedback for technical authors (e.g., Dev Advocates)
Cross-functional collaboration with DevRel and product teams; comfort operating in a newly built function

Preferred

Fintech/payments service provider exposure is a strong plus
