The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for Solstice Cell and Component Mechanical Design, including executing DOEs, designing clamping fixtures, and supporting mechanical design improvements.

Responsibilities

Execute the assigned DOEs related to Mechanical design to meet KPI target
Solstice clamping fixture design,SOP & alignment with Customers
Quality check of Clamping fixture for re-using
Problem solving related to Mechanical design
Support Clamping process operation
Support Thickness uniformity test and Pressure distribution test
Mechanical design(Cell & Component) improvement and drawing update
Shipping package design and risk assessment

Qualification

Mechanical Engineering3D modeling softwareMechanical design experienceMachining equipmentLithium-based battery technologyCommunication skills

Required

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
1 – 3 years of experience in a mechanical design role to issue Drawings in a product development
Skills and Experience with a 3D modeling software such as Solidworks, CATIA, Creo, etc
Skills and Experience utilizing machining equipment such as a vertical endmill, band saw, lathe, welding, 3D printer etc
Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred

Experience working with Aluminum machining, HW, welding techniques, and injection molding
Experience utilizing measuring equipment such as loadcell, LVDT and Tekscan or other pressure related
1-3 years of experience working on lithium-based battery technology
