Responsibilities

Defend employers in employment litigation matters, including single-plaintiff and class or collective actions
Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and restrictive covenants
Draft and manage pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, and agency position statements
Take ownership of litigation tasks while collaborating closely with partners and team members
Manage multiple active matters in a fast-paced environment
Provide practical, litigation-focused guidance to employer clients as issues arise

Required

Minimum of 3 years of true employment litigation experience
Experience defending employers preferred
Exposure to class or collective action litigation valued
Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a team
JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Active admission to the Washington State Bar

Preferred

Management-side employment litigation experience
A mix of employment litigation and other civil litigation acceptable if employment litigation is substantive
Plaintiff-side candidates may be considered, subject to conflicts review
No industry-specific background required
