Responsibilities
Entrainment sampling (collection of larval fish)
Benthic macroinvertebrate sampling
Water quality, surface water, groundwater, and sediment field sampling programs
Sample custody, labeling, and chain-of-custody documentation
Laboratory processing of larval fish and benthic macroinvertebrate samples
Entry of biological and water quality data into Excel spreadsheets and/or Access databases
General field and laboratory support as needed for project activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in a scientific discipline or environmental science
Ability to collect, record, and tabulate biological and physicochemical data accurately
Strong work ethic with demonstrated initiative, reliability, efficiency, and punctuality
Willingness and ability to travel throughout the U.S. and work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred
Interest or experience in sampling, surveying, and/or assessing upland, wetland, and/or aquatic systems
Experience with basic identification of flora and/or fauna
Boat operation and trailering experience
