(USA) Director, Technology Operations

Walmart Inc. is a leading retail company, and they are seeking a Director of Technology Operations to lead the E-commerce Fulfillment Strategy & Execution team. This role is responsible for delivering enterprise-level strategies that drive Walmart’s fulfillment objectives, ensuring that fulfillment experiences meet customer expectations and support business growth.

Responsibilities

Owns the design and execution of fulfillment strategies that directly impact sales conversion, speed promises, and customer satisfaction across e-commerce
Partners with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Technology leadership to align on initiatives such as DSV to 1P/WFS migration, national assortment management, pre-orders, and critical sales events (e.g., BTS, AE)
Oversees fulfillment governance forums to ensure end-to-end visibility, simulation, and alignment on actions that may shift volume across the network
Defines technology requirements and partners with ecom, site experience and merchants to deliver against new fulfillment experiences that expand customer choice (e.g., bulk purchases, “dinner tonight,” subscriptions)
Leads a high-performing team while also orchestrating alignment across multiple business units and functions
Balances near-term execution (e.g., event readiness) with long-term network and technology strategies
Ensures Walmart can deliver faster, more reliable fulfillment promises at national scale

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 6 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area
8 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area
3 years' supervisory experience

Preferred

Master's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 5 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area
Background in creating inclusive digital experiences
Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
Knowledge of assistive technologies
Knowledge of accessibility best practices
