Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors by coordinating pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
Analyze inventory trends and sales history to make informed purchasing decisions
Create and manage purchase orders to support accurate and timely replenishment
Serve as a resource for internal teams by answering inventory-related questions and resolving issues
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and product concerns
Assist with special projects such as competitive pricing reviews, retail price analysis, and product research
Identify new products, vendors, and growth opportunities
Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to support promotions and vendor-driven sales initiatives
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus
Experience in purchasing, accounting, or the animal industry is helpful but not required
Strong Excel and Word skills with the ability to analyze data and spot trends
Clear communicator with a customer-focused mindset
Comfortable working with numbers and making timely, informed decisions
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
