Electronic Technician II
The University of Kentucky is seeking an Electronic Technician II to work as a team leader for 1-5 employees. This position coordinates job site responsibilities and ensures proper communication to supervisors, customers, and colleagues while performing various electronic maintenance duties.

Responsibilities
Work on computer systems
Read volt meters and technical writings
Design, install, operate, and maintain complex systems
Work with the fire marshal to conduct fire alarms inspections
Order supplies and maintain inventory records
Ensure safety
Prepare cost estimates on projects associated with Energy Management Systems (self-contained emergency lights, intercom systems, etc.)
Assist with designs and modifications for expansion and renovation projects
Prepare cost estimates
Maintain technical drawings
Follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
Collaborate with customers, department, and shops across the University
Qualification
Required
AA

None
Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and possibly over 50lbs
Standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs
Repetitive motion
Installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems
Knowledge of circuit theories
Ability to communicate effectively with others
High attention to detail
Preferred
Two years of related experience
fire alarm license
