Lab Research Technician

Required

Strong communication, organization, and record-keeping skills
Ability to work independently once trained on a technique
A team player willing to work with and assist other laboratory personnel
Proficiency with cell culture, PCR, or Western Blotting or Flow Cytometry
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications
Familiarity with the operations of basic laboratory equipment
Proficient laboratory record keeping and maintenance skills
Ability to complete and pass successfully the required occupational health screening referenced in the University's Animal Handler Health Surveillance Program on an annual basis
Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment
For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required
Completed B.S. Degree in Biology or related field
1 year of research experience
