Responsibilities
Validating models used for the detection and prevention of financial crimes, including those related to digital assets, fraud, BSA, AML, and cybersecurity, in accordance with SR 11-7, with assessments covering conceptual soundness, performance monitoring, data integrity, and other relevant model validation areas
Delivering model validation reports and presenting findings to model owners and senior management
Collaborating with internal analysts and external consultants
Reviewing model performance monitoring and conducting annual model reviews
Qualification
Required
5+ years of relevant work experience
Solid understanding of regulations and compliance related to digital assets, fraud, BSA, AML, and cybersecurity
Solid knowledge and understanding with model governance and related regulatory guidance
Advanced degree in statistics, math, physics, engineering, or economics
Proficient in Python, SAS, R, and other statistical or programming languages
Preferred
5+ years of work experience in model validation
Ph.D. in quantitative discipline (statistics, mathematics, physics, economics)
CFA, FRM, ACAMS and digital asset related certifications
Experience working as a quant in the financial industry
Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills
