Responsibilities
Design and implement embedded software (firmware) for microcontrollers, PLCs, and SoC platforms used in regulated environments
Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate sensors, actuators, and communication modules (I2C, SPI, UART)
Utilize oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit debuggers to troubleshoot system-level issues and ensure real-time performance
Author technical specifications and validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) to ensure the embedded systems meet GxP and cGMP requirements
Conduct functional risk assessments and code audits to identify and mitigate critical-to-quality (CTQ) failures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field
0–5 years of experience in embedded development, firmware engineering, or academic projects involving microcontrollers (STM32, Arduino, ESP32)
Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
Strong understanding of RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems) and interrupt-driven design
Familiarity with the V-Model and GAMP 5 frameworks for system development
Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 regarding electronic records in embedded applications
Preferred
Experience with PCB design or schematic capture (Altium, KiCad)
Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, or Python for automation testing
Knowledge of wireless protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN) and IoT security
