Comptroller - Local Government Research Summer Intern
Capps Plumbing and Sewer, Inc. is seeking a Local Government Research Summer Intern for the Comptroller of Public Accounts. The role involves assisting with research, writing, data analysis, and supporting various division projects to promote government transparency and economic development.

Responsibilities
Assists with research, writing, data entry/analysis, statistical analysis and updating division reports, websites and databases
Participates in short-term assignments with other Comptroller divisions such as Communications & Information Services, Revenue Estimating, and Tax Policy
Ensures accuracy, consistency and effectiveness by reviewing, editing, and proofing data and various reports and materials for internal and external use
Provides assistance and administration of state and local economic development programs
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university or a recent graduate within one year, with major coursework in public administration, government, public policy, statistics, economics, social science, finance, business, research methodology or related field
Professional or academic experience in research and planning, data analysis and/or policy development relating to general government programs
Preferred
One (1) year of experience in research and planning, data analysis and/or policy development relating to general government programs
