This role involves coordinating and managing technology-related projects under supervision, including planning, organizing, and implementing information systems and services for the State of Vermont.
Responsibilities
Coordination and project management support of technology-related projects
Under supervision, project managers at this level work with information technology (IT) staff, subject matter experts (SMEs), and program leaders to coordinate the planning, organizing, implementing, and enhancing of information systems and services for the State of Vermont
Creating and documenting project work plans, including scope, schedule, and cost, and revising as appropriate
Identifying and coordinating the assignment of resources and ensuring that the resource plan is carried out consistently with the overall project goals and schedule
Monitoring and controlling day-to-day project aspects of one or more projects
Reviewing deliverables prepared by the vendor to ensure consistency with requirements and recommends acceptance or rework
Developing and vetting risk mitigation plans
Being responsible for document management, including version control, and the creation of project records
Accomplishing earned value management calculations and reporting by tracking team hours, progress in terms of scope, and expenses
Qualification
Required
Two (2) years or more of experience in the field of information technology with one (1) year or more where the primary role was project manager
Preferred
Associate degree or higher in the field of business administration, public administration, information technology or another related field
