Responsibilities

Deliver visually compelling art direction for multi-platform branded content and partnership programs across Condé Nast’s portfolio, including The New Yorker, Pitchfork, Teen Vogue, and Them
Design visual treatments, presentation decks, moodboards, digital mocks, and video styleframes to articulate and sell through creative ideas
Lead photography and video art direction on set; collaborate closely with producers, stylists, photographers, and talent to uphold brand standards and creative vision
Research and recommend visual collaborators—photographers, illustrators, directors, designers—to align with editorial and advertiser goals
Manage asset collection, photo research, and rights clearance for branded content stories
Present creative concepts and executions to clients, partners, and internal teams with clarity and passion
Ensure editorial integrity and brand voice are reflected authentically in all partnership work
Foster strong creative relationships across editorial teams, maintaining brand fluency and mutual trust
Partner with marketing colleagues on creative strategies and marketing materials to promote our editorial brands and offerings to consumers and advertisers (B2B and B2C)
Direct video and photo shoots with a focus on performance and editorial quality
Drive brainstorms and work hands-on when crafting proposals and presentations
Propose creative solutions that fit within the provided budgets
Create concepts that align with advertiser goals while staying true to Condé Nast’s brand voices and standards for inclusive storytelling

Required

Ability to work in-office in NYC Monday-Thursday, WFH Friday
4+ years professional experience art directing in media, fashion or entertainment brands or premium creative agencies
A demonstrated appreciation for the subject matter and creativity of the brands you'll work with at Condé Nast, specifically Teen Vogue, The New Yorker, them and Pitchfork
Confidence working with and directing artists, experts, celebrities and creators as talent on commercial projects
Strong portfolio showcasing work across print, digital, video and events
Passion for brand marketing, with a sharp cultural perspective that informs consumer-facing campaigns
Skilled storyteller with excellent written, visual, and verbal presentation abilities
Extensive on-set experience and deep knowledge of video and photography production, from pre- to post-production (for digital and print)
A creative aesthetic emphasizing current standards in entertainment, fashion, luxury and design
Highly organized, adaptable and adept at prioritizing workloads in fast-paced environments
Ability to work fluently with collaborators in production - writers, DPs, photographers, editors, animators, and designers
Highly organized, and skilled with time-management and workload prioritization
Excellent ability in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Slides, and treatment deck creation
Bonus: familiarity with Figma, After Effects, and motion graphics workflows
