Reporting Analyst I

The Office of the Indiana Attorney General has been dedicated to serving the state and its residents for over 165 years. The Reporting Analyst I will educate holders of unclaimed property on reporting requirements and ensure that reports and funds are reconciled and deposited accurately.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Educate Holders about reporting procedures and requirements
Provide guidance and support to Holders throughout the Unclaimed Property reporting and remittance process
Handle required tasks necessary to complete the daily deposit of unclaimed property financial payments including
Preparing 1st tape
Scanning checks
Entering Holder information that is linked to payment and finalizing the deposit
Saving the Deposit Detail Report, Deposit Image Report, and Deposit Receipts
Uploading receipts into KAPS database system
Distributing deposit documents
Following up with Holders with any discrepancies
Ensuring all required daily deposit documentation is available for the UPD Financial Administrator to complete the Report of Collection (ROC)
Accurately allocate receipts for Unclaimed Property payments received
Process and reconcile Unclaimed Property reports in the database system
Contact and educate the business community to resolve discrepancies with reports and payments
Respond to constituent/holder emails from the UPD Holder inbox
Process Holder dissolutions and bankruptcies
Review, scan and save the daily INBiz report
Perform other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably related to the duties enumerated above

Required

A high level of critical thinking to make decisions and solve problems
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and completeness of reports and data
Ability to convey unclaimed property related terminology and information in layman's terms
Ability to be self-sufficient and possess analytical thinking skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands under pressure
Meeting deadlines while collaborating effectively within a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills by effectively communicating complex information
Collaborating effectively within a team environment
Quickly pivot attention when new priorities develop
Knowledge of Indiana Unclaimed Property statute and reporting requirements
Fluency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, is essential

Preferred

Associate's degree preferred or equivalent job-related experience
