They are seeking a HUD Compliance Specialist 2 to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist with leasing and reporting for affordable housing properties.

Responsibilities
Prequalify income & screening of applicants for unit vacancies
Submit applicant documentation to monitoring agency and subsidy agency to qualify applicants
Maintain property waiting list and transfer list
Track and maintain all transfer inquiries and work with PHA on processing requests
Ensure appropriate leases are signed by residents
Submit leases and income affidavits online to PHA in a timely manner
Complete and submit monthly reporting required by senior management and the PHA
Handle the collection of rent payments and security deposits
Assist residents with annual and interim recertification requests to PHA
Performs additional duties as assigned/needed
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-3+ years' experience in affordable housing with recertification experience or affordable multi-family leasing or compliance
Knowledge of Mitchell Lama and Section 8 Project Based Voucher (PBV)
Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office MS Excel, required
Proficiency in Yardi Affordable, required
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Must have excellent communication skills
Must be a self-starting, organized individual and possess the ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree, preferred
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (ability to read, write, and speak)
