The State of West Virginia is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist for the Departments of Health, Health Facilities, and Human Services. This role focuses on building effective teams to support vulnerable citizens, managing the recruitment process, and implementing strategic staffing initiatives.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Analyze and forecast staffing trends to stay ahead of hiring needs
Partner with hiring managers to refine job descriptions and gain an understanding of staffing needs
Develop targeted, diverse recruiting strategies and engaging advertisements
Leverage social media and track platform effectiveness
Coordinate virtual hiring events and manage internship programs with local colleges
Administer onboarding, exit, and face-to-face retention surveys to reduce turnover
Serve as a subject matter expert on evolving recruitment technologies and laws

Required

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional human resources, payroll, bookkeeping or accounting experience

Preferred

Previous recruitment experience is preferred
A valid driver's license may be required
1 year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional supervisory and/or management experience may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
