Responsibilities
Communicating major issues in equipment performance and maintenance to the managers; Supporting the team in implementing robust solutions to improve overall efficiency, yield, and uptime of the equipment. Communication to suppliers for maintenance and / or repair which includes packaging the tooling is housed in
Complying with safety, health, and environmental guidelines and participating in continuous improvement of the procedures while performing equipment maintenance
Functions in a technical role in field tooling for all product lines. Typically responsible for overhaul, modification, repair, test, and the safety of all tooling as well as preventive maintenance procedures and certifications
Tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance parts consumption, and scheduled preventive maintenance procedures using Solar applications as well as maintaining the tooling database also known as TPAS for Field Repair and Tool America tooling
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience in a Shop / Manufacturing environment
Strong Mechanical Aptitude
Incumbent will need to be able to move, shift, lift, and carry tooling in a safe manner daily as well as understand basic hand tools
Will need to be able to operate equipment ranging from forklifts, pallets jacks, drill press, grinders, welder
Must be able to work in a group setting as well as perform tasks individually with little supervision
Must be flexible to work weekends, evenings, and early mornings to accommodate and satisfy any customer needs
