IS: CEE Communications Associate

Teachers College, Columbia University is seeking an interim CEE Communications Associate. The role involves supporting content generation and production, including social media, photography, and videography, while helping to create recruitment and marketing materials.

Responsibilities

Support editorial and content generation, production, and overall operations by capturing social media and editorial content (e.g., photos, video, soundbytes) at CEE meetings (bi-monthly), events, and other activities
Support social media operations by collaborating to ideate, film, and edit short-form video content for CEE’s social media channels
Contribute to website maintenance, database management, and communications
Assist with writing related to recruitment materials and other communications
Contribute to and support with special projects
Assist with website maintenance, communications, and database management
Assist with communications and operational responsibilities
Ensure compliance with College and department policies and procedures while executing tasks

Required

Must be a TC student currently enrolled in a degree program and taking at least 1 credit during the fall/spring semesters
Must be able to abide by Teachers College academic and personnel policies and guidelines, including FERPA, Student Confidentiality Agreement, and the Student Privacy Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or social media
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to complete assigned projects with minimal supervision
Strong computer, research, and presentation skills

Preferred

Enthusiasm for and an understanding of research, especially in the educational and political science spheres
Experience working in professional settings
Passion for online discourse and creative storytelling
Experience creating short-form video content, professionally or personally
