Responsibilities
Act as a friendly, helpful resource to clients and community partners
Answer questions regarding living with HIV and disclosure of status
Facilitate entrance into medical care
Accompany clients to their first few appointments
Make referrals to complementary services
Offer HIV testing to partners and friends
Link individuals to care and provide compassionate and non judgemental customer service
Build and foster relationships with agencies that offer support services
Assist clients in navigating their HIV diagnosis and empower them to take care of themselves
Qualification
Required
Experience in healthcare or social services
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Compassionate and non-judgmental customer service approach
Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and related health issues
Experience in building relationships with community organizations
Ability to assist clients in navigating healthcare systems
