Quality Assurance Technician

Johnson Welded Products, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join their Holland, MI team. In this role, you will ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards through inspections and testing at various stages of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

Perform product inspections and testing at various stages of the manufacturing process
Verify compliance with customer requirements and company quality standards
Support and uphold company safety and quality policies
Identify and document quality issues and assist in corrective actions
Collaborate with production teams to maintain consistent product excellence
Provides information to manufacturing personnel regarding product quality and conformance to specifications
Responsible for the timely support of the production area through problem resolution
Performs Inspection Activity Such As
Receiving, 1st pc., in-process, final, dock audits, containment/sorting…
Responsible for documenting and investigating Non-Conforming Material
Responsible for processing Warranty Returns
Assists in the investigation and documentation for Corrective Actions/Continuous Improvement activities
Measures sample parts and perform dimensional layouts, including capability studies, for PPAP’s
Performs calibrations, R&R studies, and other QA lab functions
Assists in the development of QA Documents (e.g., Control Plans, Inspection plans)
Aids Document Control by ensuring availability of current document revisions
Maintains a clean and orderly work area using the 5S process and follows all safety policies and procedures
May be required to perform other reasonable work-related tasks

Required

Prior experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow specifications, procedures, and safety standards
Team-oriented mindset with solid communication skills
Good organizational skills and the ability to develop and maintain good internal customer relationships
Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, both written and verbal
Able to read and interpret prints and technical documents

Preferred

CQT certification
Proficient in English, both verbal and written communications
Additional language fluency
Good skills with Microsoft Word, Excel
Familiarity with the heavy-duty trucking industry concepts, practices, and procedures
Candidate must be a fast learner with a high attention to detail
May be required to work different shifts, hours, overtime, and weekends if needed
