Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end reinsurance transaction process, including due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, negotiation, and integration planning
Coordinate cross-functional teams (legal, actuarial, finance, operations) to ensure seamless execution and post-deal integration
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and external advisors throughout the deal lifecycle
Prepare transaction approval materials and communicate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with legal team in drafting and reviewing regulatory submissions and responses
Collaborate with asset managers to develop, maintain, and enhance the Asset-Liability Management (ALM) framework
Create and optimize capital structures, leveraging knowledge of economic capital and regulatory frameworks (primarily U.S., Bermuda, and SII)
Develop financial projections to support leadership in planning and decision making
Monitor industry trends, evaluate competitive dynamics, and identify opportunities for strategic growth
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of acquisition targets and strategic partnerships
Partner with senior leadership to define growth priorities and execute key strategic initiatives
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in life M&A, sidecar, block reinsurance, or corporate development
Willingness and ability to travel as business dictates
Preferred
Experience in life insurance ALM or investment management
Experience in direct and/or reinsurance pricing
