Responsibilities
Design schematics and PCBs for mixed-signal embedded control systems integrating microcontrollers, analog signal conditioning, protection circuits, and sensor interfaces
Select and qualify components for cost, reliability, and long-term availability
Perform board bring-up, functional testing, and design validation to ensure reliable field performance
Implement design practices for EMC, EMI, and safety compliance from concept through production
Lead and support CE, UL, and FCC testing and certification efforts
Collaborate with third-party testing labs and ensure all documentation and technical files are complete
Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers on prototype builds and production scaling
Review DFM/DFT feedback and implement design improvements
Troubleshoot and resolve production line or field hardware issues
Diagnose and resolve noise, EMC/EMI, power integrity, and thermal issues
Support field deployment, sensor calibration, and failure analysis
Setup and maintain hardware revision control, documentation, and test records
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
5 to 10 years of experience in hardware design for embedded systems
Strong knowledge of PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD)
Familiarity with compliance standards (CE, UL, FCC)
Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers and suppliers
Excellent troubleshooting skills for EMC/EMI, power integrity, and thermal issues
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
