Responsibilities
Launch Alpha's flagship Houston location: Execute Alpha's three core promises for 100 plus students from day one with operational excellence across all dimensions
Facilitate live workshops with K through 12 students on life skills: Conduct engaging one-hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and giving and receiving feedback. Follow Alpha's established playbook to ensure students achieve mastery of skills traditional schools overlook while keeping the experience enjoyable
Drive every student toward 100 percent goal achievement: Develop individualized motivational frameworks for each student. Apply data-driven methods to address resistance and maintain engagement with the Alpha platform. Success is defined as every student reaching their objectives
Develop Guides through coaching: Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to pinpoint performance gaps. Provide clear, actionable feedback during coaching sessions and monitor progress. Hold your team accountable using logic and objectivity, not empathy that undermines standards
Execute data-driven campus leadership: Evaluate performance across staff, operations, parent engagement, and culture. Identify problems, perform root cause analysis, consult with stakeholders, and implement measurable interventions. Monitor every decision and refine based on outcomes
Uphold excellence without exception: Establish and sustain Alpha's quality standards for students and staff. Make difficult decisions when performance is inadequate. Serve as the benchmark for excellence on your campus
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field
At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field
Direct experience building and managing teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority
Deep knowledge of the Houston or wider Texas education landscape
Experience working with youth ages 5 through 14
Strong data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement
Passion for transforming education
Belief that the traditional system is fundamentally broken
Startup mindset: thrives under pressure, adaptable in new situations, comfortable building systems from scratch
Compelling and energetic speaker who commands attention from rooms full of students or staff
Able to relate to K through 12 students, understand their interests and culture, serve as a positive role model
Legally authorized to work in the United States
