Sr Product Manager - Merchandising Insights

Responsibilities
Lead the development of scalable, intuitive, and high impact analytics and insights products that support assortment strategy across competitive market analysis, trends identification and Guest segmentation to geographic segmentation
Own the competitive insights product vision and roadmap, defining and driving the analytics to insights product strategy based on business value, user adoption, and long-term sustainability
Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into clear product requirements while collaborating with internal consulting, analytics, engineering, data science, UX, and other cross functional teams to deliver an ecosystem of connected merchandising insights solutions
Proactively seek feedback from leadership, consulting teams, and merchandising partners as a key input to backlog prioritization and roadmap decisions
Leverage products to strengthen existing assortment insights routines while enabling new capabilities through prototypes and MVPs that test and validate emerging ideas and technologies
Integrate internal and third-party data sources along with machine learning and GenAI capabilities to enhance product functionality and scalability
Bring an unrelenting focus on intuitive, self-serve, and highly adopted analytics to insights tools that are easy to use, maintain, and evolve across merchandising teams
Stay ahead of industry trends, assess new technologies and vendors, and represent the voice of the business in product development to ensure alignment with strategic goals
Engage external data and insights vendor partners through POCs and RFP or RFI processes, holding them accountable for delivering high quality data, insights, and reporting solutions
Support internal and external analytics work that contributes to product success, while coaching and mentoring Senior Consultants and helping prioritize their workload across initiatives
Develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product
Leverage knowledge of solutions to product expertise, as well as customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product
Lead solutions to products in unison with cross-functional team inclusive of data analysts, other product managers, engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to operationalize insights as a product
Be the 'voice of the product' to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the cross-functional teams are getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful
Develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders
Encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction
Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours
Qualification
Required
Four-year degree or equivalent experience
6+ years of product management, analytics, insights, solutions experience
Deep retail or CPG merchandising industry experience
Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
Experience with market share, trends or signals, shopper behavioral data and clustering analysis
Proven track record building products, data and analytics solutions and prototypes that enable low-touch, high impact insights
Establish and grow relationships with key decision-makers within the cross-functional team, both in Target in India and Minneapolis to drive strategic business initiatives
Experience with Domo, PowerBI, Looker, Tableau & other Visualization tools (including homegrown platforms) and proven Data analytics + dashboard across multiple sources/metrics experience
Conceptual understanding of analytical techniques like Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Time-series models, Classification Techniques, etc
Ability to lead bodies of work and influence without authority with cross-functional partners
Strategic and visionary thinker with effective, diplomatic and proactive leadership skills
