Insight Global is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to support one of their large energy clients. The role involves maintaining the Electric Distribution GIS model and providing support for related GIS operations and models.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update the Electric Distribution GIS model
Support GIS operations by posting and validating modeling data
Generate analytical reports and thematic maps using GIS data
Collaborate with internal departments and external customers to fulfill GIS-related requests
Provide support for Transmission and Landbase GIS models as needed

Qualification

ESRI productsGIS data analysisCartographic presentationGE SmallworldUtility industry experience

Required

Strong background and demonstrated experience with ESRI products
Proficiency in GIS data analysis and cartographic presentation
Bachelor or Associate degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Geography, Geology, or a related field; or an equivalent GIS Certificate
In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant industry experience will be considered

Preferred

Experience with GE Smallworld is preferred
Prior experience in the utility industry is a plus
