Senior Electrical Engineer – RF/Microwave design

They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer – RF/Microwave design to work on Electronic Warfare and general electronics product development for defense applications. The role involves defining system architecture, hands-on testing of components, and managing small projects while mentoring lower-level professionals.

Responsibilities
Participate in defining component, module, or system architecture
Assist the team in design and hands-on testing of RF, microwave, digital, and power components, circuit boards and systems plus providing technical support to production activities
Be a part of a multidisciplinary engineering team throughout the project lifecycle to meet project goals
Manage small projects, from start to finish mentoring lower level professionals with tasks and assignments
Some travel to integration sites, plus customer and subcontractor facilities, may be required
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree or equivalent in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in one of these fields with a minimum of 3 years experience with RF/microwave circuit
Experience with design, development, and production of electrical equipment and/or hardware
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance)
Preferred
Experience with some design tools (SPICE, schematic/layout design software, MATLAB, ADS, HFSS, Hyperlynx, GeneSys as examples) and the ability and desire to learn new tools
Experience with schematic capture, block diagrams, and parts lists for complex electronics
Hands-on experience testing electronic products using bench power supplies, signal/waveform generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers or vector network analyzers
Knowledge of mixed RF, Microwave, and mixed signal electronics
Strong understanding of first principals and a love for Physics
