FLEX by Fenwick is a service offering of the law firm Fenwick & West, providing high-quality attorneys to technology and life sciences companies. They are currently seeking attorneys with international trade and national security experience to provide counsel to their clients.

Responsibilities

In-depth knowledge of U.S. import laws including HTS classification, country of origin (COO) determinations and marking/labeling requirements, U.S. tariffs (IEEPA, Secs. 232 and 301), and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) import requirements as well as experience engaging with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
Experience drafting and negotiating global trade compliance contract provisions
Experience advising on international import and customs laws and requirements and U.S. international export and sanctions laws
Experience working in government or in-house with a technology or life sciences company is ideal, but not required
