Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Project Manager (PM)
Air Force Civilian Service is seeking civilian professionals to deploy war-winning capabilities on behalf of the United States Air Force. The role involves serving as a Contracting Officer Representative and Project Manager to ensure the execution of critical IT and software modernization efforts, coordinating across teams to drive contract performance and maintain program momentum.
Responsibilities
Coordinate across technical teams, stakeholders, and industry partners to drive contract performance and maintain program momentum
Serve as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for high visibility efforts, providing oversight to validate contractor deliverables, safeguard fiscal stewardship, and uphold mission standards
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management
Knowledge of business, contracting procedures, software development and digital transformation to define, document and review requirements
Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process
Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with individuals and groups within the office as well as outside the immediate work unit
Ability to plan, organize, lead, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of subsystems and equipment
This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The employee must meet or be capable of meeting Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position
Incumbents will be required to obtain Contracting Officer Representative Certification with 6 months from date of hire. Failure to obtain certification could result in reassignment or adverse action up to removal
Incumbents will be required to obtain an APDP PM Level II with 24 an APDP PM Practitioner Certification with 48 months from date of hire. Failure to obtain certification could result in reassignment or adverse action up to removal
