Responsibilities
Design, build, test, and maintain data management and data movement systems
Develop high‑performance algorithms, data models, and prototypes
Ensure all systems comply with business requirements and industry best practices
Integrate emerging data management and software engineering technologies into existing architectures
Establish processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production
Develop custom software components and analytics applications as needed
Identify and evaluate new opportunities for leveraging existing data assets
Utilize a range of programming languages, tools, and platforms to connect and optimize data systems
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including data architects, IT partners, and data scientists, to achieve project objectives
Implement and maintain disaster recovery procedures
Recommend improvements to enhance data quality, reliability, and operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
Technical degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience with relational and non‑relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB)
Experience programming or architecting backend systems (e.g., Java, J2EE)
