Responsibilities

Assists the RN in delivering care, observing patient behaviors, and more

Reports/documents any changes in patients mood or behavior in a timely fashion

Provides one-on-one sessions with assigned patients as needed

Mental Health Technicians will maintain a full patient caseload with an assigned primary nurse in an inpatient setting and provide care for all patients effectively and compassionately

Qualification

Mental health experienceAddiction care experienceBLS certificationSocial sciences educationBehavioral management training

Required

Completion of a supervised mental health or addiction practicum and completion of 12 college credits in the social sciences + 2 years of experience in mental health or addictions care required

Or Bachelor's degree in humanities or social services + 1 year of experience in mental health or addictions care

BLS required based on organizational guidelines/policies

Behavioral management training in accordance with campus policy
