Responsibilities

Create, edit, and maintain CNC programs for milling and/or turning operations

Develop programs from prints, CAD models, and work instructions

Select tooling, cutting strategies, speeds, and feeds appropriate for material and part requirements

Support first-article prove-outs and troubleshoot machining issues

Work directly with machinists to refine programs and improve efficiency

Ensure programs meet print requirements, tolerances, and quality standards

Maintain organized program files, revision control, and documentation

Support continuous improvement efforts related to cycle time, tool life, and process reliability

Communicate issues, changes, and status clearly to production and engineering teams

Follow all shop safety procedures and standards

Required

Experience programming CNC milling and/or turning machines

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T

Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, and fixturing

Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion, NX, or similar)

Ability to support machining on the shop floor and troubleshoot issues hands-on

Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, repeatable programs

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment

Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the role
