Senior Sales Executive
Hobson Associates is a fast-growing, AI-native, multi-model database company serving modern, distributed applications. They are seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive enterprise growth by owning pipeline, closing complex deals, and shaping the sales strategy for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
Own and close mid-market and enterprise opportunities across the U.S
Run full-cycle sales processes from discovery through procurement and contract close
Rigorously qualify opportunities and build clear close plans
Partner closely with Solutions Engineering and Customer Engineering to support evaluations, POCs, and production readiness
Navigate technical, security, legal, and procurement stakeholders with confidence
Convert PLG and inbound demand into larger production and enterprise deployments
Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and CRM discipline
Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering based on customer conversations
Represent the company professionally in customer meetings, events, and partner discussions
Qualification
Required
Proven experience closing mid-market and enterprise software deals in the U.S
A background selling developer-focused, infrastructure, or data platforms (databases, cloud services, dev tools, platform software)
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with technical buyers
Comfort selling to engineers, architects, and platform teams
A disciplined approach to qualification, forecasting, and deal execution
The ability to communicate value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience working in a scaling startup or high-growth environment
Comfort operating with autonomy, ownership, and minimal bureaucracy
Experience with open-source software, cloud-native platforms, or databases
Familiarity with AWS-based deployments or cloud marketplaces
Exposure to PLG-to-sales or hybrid sales motions
Preferred
Start-up experience and chops a PLUS
