Responsibilities

Manage daily shipping operations, including domestic and international shipments
Oversee order fulfillment, packaging, labeling, and dispatch processes
Ensure shipments meet delivery deadlines and quality standards
Negotiate rates and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and couriers
Monitor shipping costs and implement cost-reduction strategies
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, customs requirements, and trade laws
Track shipments, resolve delays, damages, and delivery issues
Develop and enforce shipping SOPs and safety procedures
Manage and train shipping staff; schedule and assign workloads
Coordinate with warehouse, inventory, sales, and customer service teams
Maintain accurate shipping records and reporting (KPIs, SLAs, cost metrics)
Oversee shipping software, WMS, ERP, and carrier integrations
Drive continuous improvement in speed, accuracy, and efficiency

Required

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–7+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
2+ years in a supervisory or management role
Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes
Experience with carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL, ocean/air freight)
Proficiency in shipping software, WMS, and ERP systems
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Preferred

Experience managing high-volume or multi-location shipping operations
Knowledge of customs documentation, HS codes, Incoterms, and export compliance
Lean, Six Sigma, or process-improvement experience
Experience scaling operations in fast-growth environments
