Responsibilities

Update projections – Refresh financial projections with actuals and new information; track and reconcile budget‑to‑actuals; surface trends and areas needing management attention; collaborate with teammates so assumptions reflect current operations and strategy
Create reports – Build and maintain recurring financial/operational reports; use Microsoft Excel and related tools to develop clear, visually appealing charts, tables, and dashboards; present findings and recommendations in writing and verbally, adapted to different audiences
Budgeting support – Assist with preparing and maintaining departmental and project budgets under the guidance of the Budget Manager; gather/organize financial data from multiple sources; participate in monthly reviews, identify variances, and prepare summary notes for management
Analytics – Analyze financial/operational data to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities; perform ad‑hoc analyses (e.g., cost‑benefit studies, variance investigations); summarize key insights and actionable recommendations in concise reports
Forecasting – Support short‑ and long‑term forecasting using historical data and current trends; contribute to scenario analysis; document all assumptions and methodologies for transparency and future reference

Required

Currently enrolled in an accredited institution
Undergraduate rising Junior or Senior (May 2026 graduates welcome) or Graduate Student
Cumulative GPA: 3.0+
Majoring in General Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related programs
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or related software
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Basic understanding of financial concepts and data interpretation
Ability to create and present clear, visually appealing materials
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Able to perform and interpret numerical analysis
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions
Proven ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
Deliberative and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure
Onsite in Austin, TX — 5 days/week (required)
Domestic travel up to 5%
Ability to sit and work at a desk/computer for extended periods
Routine mobility around the worksite to carry out duties
Periodic ability to lift, carry, move, and/or set up equipment/materials up to 15 pounds
