Customer Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

Review EDI orders and resolve issues related to UPCs, pricing, configurations, or quantities
Track order and shipment progress from submission through delivery
Identify, track, and resolve order discrepancies with accuracy, empathy, and urgency
Communicate order adjustments internally and provide the sales team with weekly updates on order status and fulfillment progress
Support inventory allocation decisions based on internal strategy and leadership direction
Communicate allocation plans to Emerson via weekly allocation reports. In the event of order cuts, prepare and distribute cut reports to Emerson
Provide consolidated “back in stock” timelines to support retailer communications via Emerson
Manage customer item setup, including new item launches, discontinuations, and specification changes
Proactively inform the Emerson team of any item status changes
Maintain and manage account-specific price files
Quickly identify and resolve pricing or UPC discrepancies to prevent order delays or billing issues
Serve as the primary point of contact with the Emerson team
Respond promptly, professionally, and warmly to Emerson and retailer inquiries via email, phone, and chat in accordance with company service standards
Maintain accurate and up-to-date account shipping policies and processes to ensure consistent service levels and communication
Act as a liaison between customers, Emerson, sales, marketing, and fulfillment teams to ensure alignment and accurate information flow
Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and fulfillment teams to ensure customers receive accurate product availability and shipping information
Process internal, broker, and sampling program orders
Support special sales initiatives, seasonal order surges, and ad hoc projects as needed
Identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve communication, and enhance the customer experience
Track commitments, flag risks or delays, and proactively communicate updates
Ensure follow-through on timelines, deliverables, and service standards
Monitor inboxes for customer service requests, order updates, and escalations
Track open orders, shipments, and exceptions
Review unfulfilled orders and coordinate with fulfillment teams to resolve issues
Update internal trackers, customer notes, and documentation
Support priority sales projects or seasonal volume spikes as needed

Required

3–5 years of experience in customer operations, order management, customer service, or supply chain support, preferably in consumer products, retail, or e-commerce environments
Ability to work Central/East Coast hours
Hands-on experience managing EDI orders and resolving issues related to pricing, UPCs, configurations, and fulfillment
Strong understanding of order-to-cash processes
Experience working with third-party partners such as 3PLs, brokers, or outsourced service teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and EDI platforms
