Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components to ensure optimal computer and network system performance
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary adjustments or repairs to prevent or resolve system failures
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure secure and efficient operation of all systems and data
Implement and test network security measures, such as firewalls and encryption, to safeguard systems and information from unauthorized access or cyber threats
Conduct regular backup operations and establish appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Document system configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain an accurate record of the technology environment and support compliance with IT policies
Assist in developing and deploying specialized scripts or tools to automate routine tasks and enhance system efficiency
Provide technical assistance and support to employees, including troubleshooting and training on new software applications
Qualification
Required
Experience or training in IT, computer science, or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking protocols, and security standards
Proficiency in Office365 applications and cloud services is a plus
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and professionally
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools and stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in IT
Current or ability to obtain Security + (or equivalent) and Government Security Clearance
Preferred
bachelor's degree preferred
Proficiency in Office365 applications and cloud services is a plus
