Responsibilities
Receive prints electronically
Perform various forms of production including: programming, fixturing & machine set up based on blue print dimensions, and complete tool layouts
Program EDM machine for after-hours runs
Use AutoCad in conjunction with Mazak software to develop layouts for laser cutting operations
Inspect machined parts for accuracy
Occasional on-call needs should EDM go down after hours
Order parts and supplies for EDM machine
Meet schedules while maintaining quality standards
Keep work area clean and free of hazards
Comply with all Company policies
Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor or lead person
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of EDM programming & general manufacturing requirements, with willingness to participate in continuing education as required
Ability to read English as required for interpreting job cards and prints
Ability to read and understand manufacturing blueprints, trigonometry, geometric tooling & dimensioning, drafting, Auto-CAD & Striker programming software
Capable of using inspection tools (micrometers, indicators, calipers) & interpreting detail & assembly prints
Physically able to lift 40 lbs, bend, stoop, climb & reach
Preferred
Background in short-run job shop metal stamping desired
