Senior Roadway Engineer or Roadway Engineering Project Manager
ATCS is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Roadway Engineer or Roadway Engineering Project Manager to join their team. This role involves performing various engineering tasks related to VDOT and municipal roadway design projects, including project design, task management, and client contact.

Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities may include project design, task management, client contact, and quality control
Development of roadway construction documents, specifically roadway plans, profiles, typical sections, maintenance of traffic plans, cost estimating and planning
Preparing reports and studies
Preparing for, attending, and participating in public meetings
Directing others in performing designs for various roadway infrastructure projects based on AASHTO, VDOT and local municipality requirements; reviewing and managing designs prepared by others
Coordinating with contractors, utility companies and government agencies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 6 years of experience in roadway design – preferably in Virginia
MicroStation ORD experience
Familiarity with AASHTO, VDOT and regional design standards, practices and policies
Preferred
Professional Engineer's license in VA is preferred, will consider other states with the commitment of obtaining a Virginia PE within 6 months of starting employment
AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus
