As a Staff Accountant (Temp), you will ensure accurate financial transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting principles and support month-end and quarter-end close activities.

Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries for reclassifications, and other adjustments
Prepare clean up on purchase orders and accounts payable vendors
Preform balance sheet account reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies monthly
Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and SOX policies
Audit vendor W9 forms for accuracy for tax filing purposes
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Assist internal and external audit by providing supporting document as requested
Review expense reports with expensify and Navan, and upcoming new T&E system, Concur
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
5+ years of general accounting experience, ideally in a public company or biotech setting
Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance requirements
Proficiency with NetSuite
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
Ability to analyze data, solve problems independently, and propose process improvements
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
