Responsibilities
Develop, edit, and optimize programs for five‑axis milling machines using computer‑aided manufacturing software
Interpret detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and models to determine machining requirements
Set up five‑axis machines, including workholding, tools, and fixtures, to ensure accurate and efficient machining
Perform first‑article setups and prove‑outs to verify accuracy before full production
Collaborate closely with machine operators, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve issues and improve processes
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters based on material and part complexity
Troubleshoot and adjust programs or machine setups as required to maintain part quality
Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setup sheets, and machining procedures
Ensure all work meets established quality standards and tolerance requirements
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Qualification
Required
Proven experience programming and setting up five‑axis milling machines in a manufacturing environment
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Proficiency with CAM programming software and understanding of machining fundamentals
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced production environment
