Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical packaging for advanced battery systems across multiple environments
Create new components and update existing designs for manufacturability and reliability
Drive productization: translate core designs into configurable variants for different platforms
Produce detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, ICDs, and work instructions
Collaborate with electrical and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with specifications
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD system for mechanical design and modelling
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles for battery systems
Ability to design for production and scalability
Ideally 2–5 years of experience, but open to 5–10+ years for candidates bringing significant depth and expertise
Preferred
Experience with battery heritage and familiarity with aerospace or automotive standards
Ideal industry background in aerospace/aeronautics, defence, semiconductor, oil & gas or automotive—especially with exposure to battery development and packaging
