Computer Support Specialist
Living Resources is a non-profit human services agency dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities. The Computer Support Specialist will install and maintain computer systems, provide technical assistance to users, and oversee the daily performance of IT systems.

Responsibilities
Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operations to resolve problems
Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications
Oversee the daily performance of computer systems
Manage users accounts for Active Directory, Office 365 and other systems
Install and configure Windows desktops and laptops for users
Configure Smartphones and tablets for users
Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software
Perform basic network and WIFI troubleshooting
Maintain equipment inventory
Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support
Remain current on technology trends and options both for current product lines used (hardware, software and service) as well as to recommend solutions or collaborate on new directions
As a team member, confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications
When appropriate, identify or develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software
Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service
Prepare evaluations of software or hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades
Supervise and coordinate when appropriate vendors engaged in problem-solving, monitoring, and installing data communication equipment and software
Inspect equipment and read order sheets to prepare for delivery to users
Modify and customize commercial programs for internal needs
Maintain agency communication systems
Purchase computers and peripheral equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner
Maintain software and licensing purchases
Travel to remote sites to resolve computer, networking or phone/fax issues
Qualification
Required
Training in vocational school, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree
Two or more years of work-related experience
Knowledge of smartphones, tablets, printers, networking, WIFI, electronic equipment, information security and computer hardware and software
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service
Excellent communication and customer service are essential to work with and address technical issues with non-technical staff
Strong telephone and interpersonal skills required
