Ethics Intern
Wellstar Health System is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of every person they serve. The Ethics Intern will work within the Ethics Program, engaging in research projects and gaining practical experience in healthcare ethics.

Responsibilities
Develops IRB proposals and conducts background research for proposal
Engages with research participants around research project
Collects data for research projects
Participates in evaluation of data collected
Writes up research for publication and conferences
Collaborates with Ethics team to identify areas of growth
Searching for and writing of grant proposals
Conducts literature reviews
Participates in QI projects including developing, writing and implementing
Creates and reviews materials for specified research project
Validates materials with research team
Develop research tools for specified projects
Plans, delivers and evaluates education for research projects
Completes requisite research training, e.g., CITI training
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with preference for those in the following fields: theology, philosophy, medical humanities, law, pre-med, healthcare administration, public health, other healthcare related fields
Minimum 2 years college Required
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with a variety of stakeholders
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated
Preferred
Experience in research preferred
