Responsibilities
Plan, design, and execute professional services projects for MSP clients
Lead infrastructure initiatives including:
Server migrations to Azure
On-prem server builds and refreshes
Network hardware deployments
Microsoft 365 email migrations
New client onboarding and environment deployments
Review scopes of work and translate them into actionable project plans within the PSA (AutoTask)
Schedule, document, and track project milestones, risks, and deliverables
Provide weekly project updates to internal stakeholders and clients
Serve as a senior technical resource and mentor to other engineers
Assist with escalations and end-user support as needed during project delivery
Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement during implementations
Maintain strong documentation and follow PSA processes for time, notes, and expenses
Stay current with evolving cloud and infrastructure technologies
Qualification
Required
Prior MSP experience and be comfortable working across multiple client environments simultaneously
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022)
Strong hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization
Strong hands-on experience with server installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory (trusts, GPOs, login scripts)
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange setup, migration, and troubleshooting
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and troubleshooting
Strong hands-on experience with Remote Desktop Services (RDS) setup and support
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 setup, migrations, and administration
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Entra ID, Azure VMs, and Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Strong hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 client OS deployment and support
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise storage solutions (HP, Synology, Nimble, EMC, etc.)
Strong hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery platforms (Datto, Acronis, or similar)
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise wireless deployments and troubleshooting
Strong hands-on experience with Layer 2 / Layer 3 switching
Strong hands-on experience with UTM firewall platforms (Cisco Meraki, Sophos, SonicWall)
Proven experience delivering project-based work in an MSP environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
