Responsibilities

Design and own embedded control electronics from concept to production, including hardware selection, schematic & PCB design, board bring-up, and system level integration
Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools
Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products
Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware
Helped managed product sustainment in a production process with engineering improvements, product cost down, and sourcing engineering support
Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages

Required

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
8+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex embedded systems and products
Demonstrated experience with some of the following: 8- and 32-bit Microcontrollers, Linux-based SOCs, Ethernet, common communication busses (SPI, I2C), and power regulation
Power management and supply design experience - low power DC; medium voltage AC; battery storage systems
Network management and switch design experience - Ethernet Gbit switch/PHY; configuring Ethernet switches (SW/PC)
Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of tests
Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral)
Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation design tools
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred

Proficiency with C
Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as git, Github, JIRA, etc
Experience with developing for a safety-critical environment
Experience working on products used in tough environments (automotive, aerospace, defense, etc.)
Knowledge of embedded software development, including use of timers, interrupts, hardware peripherals such as SPI controllers and ADCs
