The Grainger Lab is seeking a full-time Assistant Research Technician to support research on hematopoietic stem cell development, cancer, and Wnt signaling through various laboratory techniques and maintenance tasks.
Health Care
Responsibilities
Maintaining and handling cell cultures
Molecular and cell biology techniques (i.e. plasmid cloning, Western blots, qRT-PCR)
Genotyping
Basic zebrafish husbandry and techniques
Assisting with general laboratory maintenance
Detailed record keeping and adherence to protocols
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Cell/Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related biomedical fields
Excellent interpersonal skills and patience
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as an active member of an integrated team
Demonstrable written and oral communication skills
Preferred
At least one (1) year of wet lab bench experience is preferred, but not required
