Implementation Project Manager
Tucker Parker Smith Group (TPS Group) is seeking an experienced Implementation Project Manager to lead a high-impact Workday U.S. Time & Payroll implementation. This role involves owning the project from early planning through go-live and post-launch support, partnering with cross-functional teams and external consultants to ensure successful delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end implementation of Workday Time Tracking and Payroll for a U.S. workforce
Own project planning, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, and communications
Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Security, and external Workday consultants
Oversee system configuration, testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare
Ensure compliance with U.S. payroll regulations (federal, state, and local)
Manage payroll-related integrations such as tax filing, benefits, banking, time clocks, and vendors
Drive payroll parallel testing, UAT, and full end-to-end validation
Provide clear status updates and insights to leadership to support decision-making
Qualification
Required
5–7+ years of project management experience with HR and/or Payroll systems
Proven experience leading Workday Time Tracking and/or Payroll implementations
Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll rules, taxes, and compliance requirements
Experience managing large, complex payroll projects (10,000+ employees preferred)
Excellent communication, coordination, and vendor management skills
Preferred
PMP and/or Workday Pro certification
Experience with ADP SmartCompliance or similar payroll integrations
