HR Generalist
Masis Staffing Solutions is seeking an HR Generalist to manage various human resources activities. The role involves recruiting, onboarding, payroll management, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
Partner with staffing agencies to effectively recruit, interview, and select best candidates
Schedule pre-employment drug and background screening
Conduct new hire orientation and schedule regulatory compliance training
Prepare weekly payroll and maintain employee personnel, attendance, medical and training records in accordance with legal and corporate requirements
Report and maintain worker’s compensation and OSHA 300 & 301 logs
Work directly with department managers and supervisors to assist in carrying out their responsibilities on employee relations issues that include handling disputes, determining and facilitating disciplinary actions and terminations
Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and procedures and helping resolve work-related problems
Track employee leaves of absences & ensure compliance (FMLA, Disability, Worker’s Compensation)
Schedule annual re-certifications and training per OSHA and DOT regulations
Track data and maintain spreadsheets to assist senior management with performance metrics
Coordinate company picnics, holiday parties and events
Conduct annual policy review meetings with supervisors and employees regarding company policies and procedures as needed
Process labor related invoices and other services for accounts payable as needed
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
Six months to one year related experience and/or training is a plus
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Knowledge and ability to operate a computer and calculator
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear
The employee frequently is required to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
The employee is occasionally required to stand
The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
