Director, Revenue Cycle Technology
Specialty Search Group is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Technology to lead and stabilize technology delivery in a healthcare revenue cycle environment. The role involves managing a small internal team and external vendors, focusing on improving reliability and operational alignment with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day technology delivery supporting revenue cycle operations across hospital and physician services
Manage a small internal technical team, providing direct guidance, prioritization, and accountability
Own relationships with third-party vendors and development partners, including oversight of scope, timelines, and quality of delivery
Bring structure to development and release processes, including backlog management, documentation, and basic governance
Partner closely with operational leaders to translate business needs into executable technical work
Identify gaps in current systems, integrations, and workflows and drive practical improvements
Serve as a hands-on problem solver when issues arise, including troubleshooting and coordinating fixes across internal and external teams
Establish clearer ownership, decision-making, and delivery standards within the technology function
Qualification
Required
Experience leading technology in healthcare environments, ideally supporting revenue cycle, patient access, billing, or related operational functions
Prior responsibility for managing small development teams and external vendors simultaneously
Comfort operating in under-structured or evolving environments and building order over time
Working knowledge of healthcare systems and data flows, including EMR-adjacent platforms, integrations, and reporting tools
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical business leaders
