Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of California Lemon Law matters from intake through settlement or litigation
Review and evaluate vehicle purchase and repair documentation to assess Lemon Law claims
Calculate vehicle buyback values for Lemon Law repurchases and settlements
Draft and respond to correspondence, demands, pleadings, and discovery under attorney supervision, as applicable
Communicate directly with clients regarding case status, expectations, and next steps
Engage in negotiations with manufacturers and opposing counsel to resolve matters efficiently
Assist with litigation preparation, including discovery, motions, and trial support when cases proceed to litigation
Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and senior attorneys to ensure timely case progression
Maintain accurate case records and documentation within the firm’s case management systems
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active and in-good-standing California Bar membership
0-3 years of legal experience
Familiarity with California Lemon Law statutes and consumer protection principles
Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to manage a caseload in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong communication skills and client-service mindset
Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within a structured litigation practice
Preferred
Prior Lemon Law experience or coursework strongly preferred
